![]() ![]() So for example in my property I have a thick brick wall down the middle so any radio signal struggles to traverse front-back, but I have wood in the roof, so if I place the homebase in roof then there is only wood, no brick, between front and rear cameras. ![]() The internal structures in your property will be doing most of the Wifi range reducing, so what you can do is place the homebase high up, well above all the most solid walls in your property so they get close to a line of sight to all cameras. This is because Eufy is not using Wifi between homebase and cameras, it can only use Wifi between your router and the homebases. You’d have to go for multiple Homebases, each serving each side of the property’s cameras and each homebase then using whatever Wifi extension for them to see your router. If you have your cameras both far from the router and far from each other, say on opposite sides of a large property, the Homebase cannot see all the cameras no matter what Wifi extenders you have. If all your cameras are at one side of the house, far from the your Wifi router, then extending wifi on that side will work. That can solve some problems but not all. Note that the Wifi range extended is to just to get the Homebase a signal. I will keep using the euf圜am system until I find another system that offers better coverage - so far, neither the Arlo nor the Blink offer better range coverage. I was planning to install a third euf圜am at the back of the house, but without a range extender, the signal strength is almost null. One of the euf圜am is located about 2 meters from the hub and display an almost full signal strength whereas the second euf圜am is located about 4 meters from the hub and display a weaker signal strength. In order to provide a half decent signal to the two euf圜am, the hub is located in the frame of the window, line-of-sight to the two euf圜am. In order to get the HomeBase hub operational, I had to install a WiFi range extender - the hub is connected directly (via network cable) to that range extender. The information you have provided (linked to) is useless at best - there is no way to create an ideal location for either the HomeBase hub nor the euf圜am E. Note: If you have to change the antenna with the 3-meters Radio antenna extension line, please restart the camera to reconnect.Sorry for the delay in replying - as I have lost all hope of getting a range extender from the Eufy/Anker team, I do not visit this site very often. The antenna extension line should be near the NVR. Using a radio antenna extension line is another way to enhance the signal.Ī radio antenna extension line(3 meters long) is used to avoid signal loss owing to the obstacle(such as a wall) between the NVR and camera. You should reduce the distance between NVR and camera, then click Refresh.Ģ The signal intensity of the Repeater Camera (nearer one) must be up to 80% for the farther one to connect. It means that the signal is too weak to repeat. ![]() Then click Refresh to get the new repeater status.ġ If the line between NVR and Camera is red. TP-Link AX1800 WiFi 6 Extender Internet Booster, Covers up to 1500 sq.ft and 30 Devices, Dual Band Wireless Signal Booster Repeater, Gigabit Ethernet Port, AP Mode, OneMesh Compatible(RE600X) TP-Link WiFi Extender with Ethernet Port, Dual Band 5GHz/2.4GHz, Up to 44 more bandwidth than single band, Covers Up to 1200 Sq.ft and 30 Devices. After configuration, please wait several minutes for the camera to reconnect. Here are some pictures to show the operation.Ĥ. Then you can connect the camera to the bridge camera by clicking the "+" icon.įor example, if you want to connect camera 2 to the NVR via camera 1, you can click the "+" icon after camera 1. Please right-click the mouse, and go to Video manage->Repeater.Ģ Click Refresh to get the repeater status of the cameras. Purpose: When the camera's wifi signal is too weak, we can use another camera which signal will be better, act as a bridge to connect the weak signal camera to the NVR.ġ. ![]()
